2025 AeroPress Portugal Winning Recipe

COFFEE: 17.5g
WATER: 100g

BREWER POSITION: Inverted
FILTER TYPE: Paper filter 1x Aesir
FILTER PREP: Rinsed
GRINDER: Commander Grinder C40
GRIND SIZE: 30 clicks
TYPE OF WATER: Minerals for water by Lotus ~85-86ppm + 0ppm water for bypass
TEMPERATURE OF WATER: 96°C for extraction + room temperature for bypass

  1. Place the AeroPress in the inverted position. Add 17.5g ground coffee.
  2. Pour 50g of water using a melodrip.
  3. Let the coffee bloom for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in another 50g of water.
  5. Squeeze for 10 seconds.
  6. Rinse the filter.
  7.  Wait until the timer reaches 1:20. Place the cap with the filter on the AeroPress and start gently removing air.
  8. Place AeroPress on your server and gently swirl. At 1:45, start pressing.
  9. Press gently for 30-35 seconds.
  10. The total volume will be 70-74 grams
  11. Add warm water from the kettle until you reach a total of 130-135g. Add another 20-25g of room temperature 0 ppm water.
  12. Enjoy your coffee!
