Who we are

The website ww.tasteology.pt is managed and is the responsibility of Tasteology - creative studio, lda.

Tasteology - creative studio, Lda., hereinafter referred to as Tasteology, understands the value of the privacy of all citizens and therefore takes seriously the top priority of ensuring the protection and lawful processing of the personal data collected, guiding our conduct at all times by full compliance with the legal rules and principles resulting from the General Data Protection Regulation and Law no. 58/2019, of August 8, which ensures its implementation in the Portuguese legal order.

It is our aim to convey in a transparent, fair and clear manner, through the privacy policy statement, the duties and rules that govern our actions in carrying out operations to collect and process personal data, as well as the rights of the respective data subjects and how these can be exercised in the simplest and quickest way.

We have therefore adopted operational and technical methods that are constantly evolving and improving, allowing us to promote standards of security, accuracy and confidentiality in order to reduce the degree of risk when collecting and processing personal data.

Who is responsible for my data?

Tasteology - creative studio, Lda., a legal person with the identification number 517111420, is the entity responsible for collecting and processing your personal data. Data subjects and users may use the e-mail address coffee@tasteology.pt to contact us if they wish to express any doubts or complaints, or if they wish to exercise their legally established rights, such as the right to revoke consent or the right of access.

Alternatively, data subjects may send correspondence to the postal address at Rua Manuel Augusto da Costa Maia 64, 4470-784 Vila Nova da Telha.

The data subject may also contact the entity responsible if they wish to change, rectify or delete the data collected in the applicable cases, in which case Tasteology may request proof of identification to verify that the data is shared with the legitimate data subject.

For further clarification, we also provide the address www.cnpd.pt corresponding to the website of the National Data Protection Commission, the entity responsible for monitoring and controlling compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, through which you can submit a complaint or request information.

How is my data collected?

Tasteology may collect your personal data from a variety of sources, including:

 

    • Online and electronic interactions with us, through Tasteology websites, mobile applications, text messaging programs, Tasteology branded pages or third-party social media applications (e.g. Facebook, Instagram);

    • Offline interactions with us, through direct marketing campaigns, printed registration coupons, registrations for promotions and contacts through Tasteology's customer service call centers;

    • User interaction with targeted online content (e.g. advertisements) that Tasteology, or service providers on our behalf, offer you through websites or applications belonging to third parties.

What data is collected?

Tasteology seeks to minimize the data that is collected, limiting itself only to the processing of personal data considered absolutely necessary for the strict fulfillment of the contractual and legal obligations to which it is bound.

Data collection will always be based on express and transparent grounds, and Tasteology guarantees that the data collected will not be misused for any other purpose. Therefore, when the user purchases a product or service from Tasteology, only information that is demonstrably essential to guarantee the correct implementation of our offer will be requested.

Due to the nature of its commercial activity, Tasteology does not collect personal data categorized by law as special or sensitive.

The data you provide us with your consent for a specific purpose includes

 

    • Personal contact information, i.e. data that allows Tasteology to contact you (e.g. name, address, e-mail or telephone number);

These sources include third-party data aggregators, Tasteology's promotional partners, public sources and third-party social networking sites. The data in question may include:

Who we share your data with

Tasteologt does not share consumers' personal data with any third parties who intend to use it for direct marketing purposes, unless consumers have given specific consent to do so. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset e-mail.

How long we keep your data

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, Tasteology has adopted periodic review measures and guarantees that the data collected is kept securely for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and subsequently processed. Certain data will be stored for the minimum period of time required by applicable law, at the end of which time Tasteology will immediately and completely delete it.

If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are saved indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve other comments without having to put them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store their information in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

Right of access

Right to rectify data

If the holder of the personal data detects any inaccuracy or outdatedness in the data collected, they may ask the entity to correct it, except in situations where this is not possible due to legal requirements.

Right to erasure

The data subject has the right to immediate deletion of the personal data collected, under the terms of Article 17 of the GDPR, when one of the following situations occurs:

 

    • a) The personal data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or processed;

    • (b) the data subject withdraws the consent on which the processing is based pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) or Article 9(2)(a) and if there is no other legal basis for such processing;

    • (c) the data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) and there are no overriding legitimate interests justifying the processing, or the data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(2);

    • d) Personal data has been processed unlawfully;

    • e) Personal data must be erased in order to comply with a legal obligation arising from Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject;

Right to data portability

The data subject has the right to receive their personal data from Tasteology in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit it to another responsible party, only if the data processing in question is based on consent or a contract and is carried out by automated means.

Right to object

You have the right to object, at any time, to the processing of your personal data, for reasons related to your particular situation:

 

    • Treatment necessary for the exercise of functions in the public interest or the exercise of public authority;

    • The pursuit of the legitimate interests of the person responsible or a third party;

    • The re-use of data for a purpose other than that for which it was originally collected, including profiling.

Visitor comments can be reviewed by a spam detector.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comment form and the visitor's IP address and browser to help prevent spam.

An anonymous string is created from your e-mail address and can be reported to the Gravatar service if you are using it. Gravatar's privacy policy can be found here https://automattic.com/privacy/ . Once approved, your comment and profile pictures will be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Multimedia

If you upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images with location information (EXIF GPS). Visitors to our website can download and extract location information from any images on our website.
