Which are the best espresso grinders?
We are often asked which is the best espresso grinder for the home barista so our curator and AST Hugo Ferraz has put together some suggestions.
There may be, in the same manufacturer and in the same model, (for example Fellow's Ode) different grinding wheels for different grinds, or different models (such as the Sculptor by Timemore) designed for a specific type of extraction. There are also models (the Pietro, for example) that we recommend for one type of extraction but which can be used for several, making them a more versatile option.
Also note that there are mill models whose performance may change depending on the millstones used.

MANUAL ESPRESSO GRINDER
Choosing a manual espresso grinder allows for greater flexibility and lower budgets, while maintaining the quality of the grind. However, we note that grinding coffee manually for espresso can take up to 2 minutes for 18 grams.
